Yeh, maybe the N&L theme running through the movie meant far more than just candy! It was repeated a few times, at pivotal points in the movie to, so must have had a different meaning somewhere in there. I'll have to think on that one.

But why not? She ate her former helper. True, yes? So, in the bigger picture of things, that might be her thoughts... save this one for later. Oh sure, that might mean a couple decades down the line but in how she would consider the passage of time, later doesn't mean something as short a time frame as we might think of. A week, a month or two - for us that's later. For Abby, 20 years is later. Until then he's a friend, a great friend even, and loads of fun to be with. But she knows what'll happen over the long haul. ... save some for later.

tman wrote:If you read Reeve's final screenplay for LMI, there is a scene right at the beginning where Owen sits in his room, and cuts out a picture of Scottie (Thomas's first kill in Los Alamos) that appeared in the local news. He sticks this in his scrapbook, which also includes, you guessed it, pictures from other serial killer murders. This would immediately have painted Owen with a very dark side, and potential killer himself. I'm not surprised this was not included in the final print, and it might have switched peoples opinions very early on as to what Owen's eventual role would be.

The whole movie though was about two kids and their dark sides. Learning to accept this of each other, and then building the relationship on top of it.

i had no idea that they intended at any point in time to add the scrap book in to LMI , it would have made it at least slightly more possible to add the '' be me a little''
scene if it had made the final cut...

Yeh, I guess so!

I've been reading LMI 2 . It has given me things to ponder. One of them wa

is "How could Abby nom her helper on the spot like that (at the Hospital)? Unless maybe..."
