"Would you want to ... become like me?"

Post by CaptEnder » Tue Nov 22, 2011 2:50 am

If Eli was asking you, what would you say?
Out of curiosity.
Not if you were in Oskar's position. Right now in front of your computer, Eli befriends you the next day and after a few weeks she asks you this.
What do you say?
I honestly don't know.
I mean it's a new way to view life, and i'd be very curious and considering the rarity of vampires I may not get a second chance. But you'd have to leave the sun behind and change your life a lot.
And if you said Yes would you leave your existing life? like Oskar and Eli? or would you try and make it work?
"Hey Guys, I'm a vampire now. Just a heads up."

Thoughts?

Oh and If you were accidentally turned right now, Like Virgina with no explanation would you live like Eli or die like Virgina?
Again just curious.

No flaming exit for me. Suicide is rarely a correct solution....Especially the way Virginia did it....Seem like it would hurt.
I'd stick around for sure. 8-)

I'm pretty confident that I would say no. Nothing about the vampire life really suits me, outside of the LTROI world they don't interest me much. The cons would outweigh the pros. I don't have the greatest life but I'd never want to be forced away from it, I have no desire to be virtually immortal, and although I don't like the sun, I couldn't imagine having to actually fear it. The biggest issue with the vampire lifestyle is isolation, having to be a complete outcast would be hard. I isolate myself often but I have the comfort in knowing I can rejoin the outside world whenever I want to, vampires aren't so lucky. Vampire rules aren't really flexible in my understanding.

Seems like a very undesirable mode of existence. I'd take a pass.

i've always been an outcast, i've always felt like i never belonged, so it wouldn't be an issue for me. Sounds dark and gothic i know, but that's how it is for me. Not that i'm gothic really, but my mind is at times.

Cant say I would do it. Even though the story of Oskar and Eli is beautiful it is still so very dark. I like isolation and I wouldnt consider myself normal exactly, but I dont think I have the desire to kill even if for survival. But Id love to have Eli as a friend and help out in anyway that wouldnt involve me killing. I can see why Oskar would do it though.

I would say no, I want to live before I say yes to anything.
Oskar loved Eli, and by living without him; LTODD spilers:I made aure he would never let Eli leave again, and they did the blood pact. But me? Not in love with Eli, not having the will to leave everything behind, epsecially now that I have lost one of my old best friends I wated to see again asap. No, not elaving anyone! We all need each other, and me living without my family and best friend, it would be no life. Also having no REAL future, I would get stuck, wouldn't hav ekids, get married, party, go to france or something, spain to sun bathe. I want to live. No vampire here.
