New LTROI tattoo!

Post by jdudley118 » Wed May 16, 2012 3:11 am

I just got this today, that is why it is so red. Let me know what you think. You'll get a banana sticker if you can tell me what it says! :D

P.S. Don't look at the comments if you want to guess!

Man, I already lost the game before reading the whole thread. I read the fb comments. -sigh-

Cool tattoo.
This must have taken real courage. Congratulations, man!
How long did it take to get it done? How much did you pay?
Are you going to get more?

Someone should dedicate their body with LTROI tattoos, like a walking LTROI riddle. Eli would love that.

Yeah, sorry I should have put spoiler alert at the top!

Thanks, this is my second LTROI tattoo. I have the title in Swedish on my chest, you can see the bottom of it in the picture. It really didn't take that long to get it done, 20 minutes max. I paid $30 for it because it was small and not that technical. Just lines and dots! :D I am planning on getting a few more, just not sure where yet. I'll figure it out in time, maybe after reading the book again!
I Definitely agree that Eli would love a giant puzzle. If you look online, there are some really cool tattoos others have gotten for LTROI.

I like it! I think it's cool that people are dedicated enough to the story to donate their bodies to it. I'm currently trying to cook up my second LTROI tattoo but I'm not particularly sure I know what I want to get just yet. I'm considering "slog tillbaka. hart." but I work with children with anger management issues so explaining to them that my tattoo encourages people to hit back is not such a good idea. I guess it could be in a discrete place but I hate discretion! I wear 9 out of 10 of them proudly on my arms

Sweet tattoo! Makes me anxious for a new one!
slog tillbaka. hårt.

Well, "slog tillbaka" is past tense so technically you wouldn't actually be encouraging people to hit back. "Slå tillbaka" would be the imperative form. :)

I don't know what to say, other than that it's super cool.

Keep 'em coming. :D

Nice ink :)

Extra points for using a quote that is quite uncommon. Those three words are from one of my favourite passages in the book.

I'm thinking of getting a Let The Right One In tat, but I'm struggling to think of exactly what, and where. I'll get there in the end though.

.
"For a few seconds Oskar saw through Eli’s eyes. And what he saw was … himself. Only much better, more handsome, stronger than what he thought of himself. Seen with love."

Agreed! I think that is my favorite passage from the book. Points for having it done in Morse code too!
She touched my soul and now I bear her sentence. But, for her love, I'll gladly pay

Thanks everybody! It is all healed now, I will have to post a picture on here on the healed version! I really liked that passage too! I chose that quote because it was my favorite from the book. I feel that it describes Eli and Oskar's relationship perfectly. The artist was a big fan of the book and the movie too, so that was a plus! :D I liked the idea or using Morse Code because I haven't seen another one on here that used Morse Code.
