It's all a matter of perspective. I like to think of it as an ascending spiral.Hassildor wrote:So, does this fade away? Or is this the beginning of a downward spiral?
Newly Infected?

Re: Newly Infected?
...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

Hi! Hassildor . Welcome among the infected.
Take me. After nearly two years i still try hard to write a perfect songs for Eli, ...Every day
. But i know i´m not crazy. I´m infected . Yeah!
It seem for some is to get rid of this strange infection the same task like to get rid of the real vampire infection.Hassildor wrote: So, does this fade away?

Tried to preorder LTODD tonight from Amazon UK. It kept kicking me out when I tried to finalize the order...gattoparde59 wrote:Hello![]()
A long incubation period, but now another infection confirmed!
Handling the Undead and Harbor have been published in the US, and Little Star is due in the fall. For Let the Old Dreams Die you need to buy that from the UK. The last is due out shortly. It wouldn't hurt to read them in order of publication. All the books share certain things in common, but I think the one that most resembles Let the Right One In is Little Star, even though that description does not begin to capture where that story goes.

HA! I acutally think I am a little bit crazy! XD Because I'm infected.. I still think about LTROI quite a lot, and I saw it two years ago,, for the first time. Say no moremackousko wrote: But i know i´m not crazy. I´m infected . Yeah!

But being infected is the nice kind of crazy. The kind that just makes things a little bit more interesting.intrige wrote:HA! I acutally think I am a little bit crazy! XD Because I'm infected..
Re: Newly Infected?
Welcome
In my personal experience, the infection starts strong and then it slows down a bit, but never really fades away. At least not until now. I think your experience is pretty much everyone else's here. From the time I first watched the film till I was infected a few weeks went by. Then BANG. Happiness.Hassildor wrote: So, does this fade away? Or is this the beginning of a downward spiral? Wow, I´m also new in this Forum and I can´t get this beautiful and tragic story out of my head. I´ve read a criticism about "Let me in" a few weeks ago and thought, that must be very interesting. So I searched about it and found out that it is only a reamke of another film: LTROI. Last month summarized I read the book and watched the film about 3 times. And I don´t know if it´s the more or less open ending, Eli´ tragic backround, Oskar´s lonnelyness or the fact that the film/book has an ending but I cryied about it several times in that time.
Let the old dreams die. We are dreaming new ones.
